Saw this a few days ago with some friends and it was pretty good. The dragon looked nice compared to the original dragon in Pete’s Dragon and friendly. The kid who played Pete remind me of Mogwai from The Jungle Book when watching this. There’s also a going green message in this movie which seems to be pretty subtle. Unlike the Captain Planet cartoon which kinda shoved the going green message down your throat.
There’s a lot of touching moments as well and the ending was pretty amazing as well. This movie seems pretty good compared to the original, so far. I’ve only seen the original when I was 10 and looking back it seemed okay. Anyway this is a good movie with a lot of heart and I hope other people get a chance to see this when they can.
