Played this on the PS3 a long time ago as a preorder. Thought it would be as good as Oblivion and it was even better. When you start off and first meet the dragons it’s just amazing. After that there’s this training part and when your out in the open world your free to chose what you want to do for the most part. When you start you be careful and try to level up a bit since some monsters can easily kill you that way.

The factions you can play are the Companions, the Thief’s Guild, the Dark Brotherhood, the College of Winterhold, and even the Imperial Guard or Stormcloaks. You’ll encounter a lot of quests and side-quests and some have a big plot to them. The enemy’s you fight aren’t too hard and you thankfully don’t always have to repair your weapons like in Oblivion.

The locations though you’ll have to discover first and then auto travel if you can. The main story is okay and even after that there’s a lot of quests to do. Even with the DLC and Mods for the PC this game is even bigger now that how it was in 2011. You might get a little tired of the loading screens for a bit and the game might glitch but save often though.

Anyway this game is a classic and it’s never too hard to put down and always has more to offer. Try and get it when you can or when it’s on sale on either the PC or consoles.

I checked this out at the library since Benedict Cumberbatch is amazing, especially in Sherlock. In this movie he plays an autistic guy who helps to try and crack the Enigma machine during WW 2. He helps some of the people that help him out to and seeing him interact with others in this is a bit funny. Also he makes one of the first computers to help crack the Enigma.

This seemed like an okay movie with Benedict Cumberbatch but it isn’t until the middle and the end of the movie that I did not see coming at all. I’m not going to spoil it but it kinda makes this guy he plays in this movie ultimately alone. There’s also this side story about him in the 1950’s after the war and what happened to him after all of this was even more shocking.

Anyway this movie is a classic and Benedict Cumberbatch is very charismatic in pretty much everything he’s in. Also heard that he will be Doctor Strange in an upcoming Marvel movie. Which might be good depending on what it’s about and how well he will do in the movie.

Well this came with my PS4 so I decided to play it for a bit. The single player story line is okay and that scene with the robot drone is gruesome. Then you become some kind of cyborg and the wall running and ground sliding takes some getting use to. Someone told me the ending of the single player story line which spoiled the campaign. Still the single player has at least a co op campaign if you want to play with friends.

Then I tried to play multiplayer like team death match and it seems like all the day one players had better weapons. Something about most players are all high leveled and the weapons are unbalanced. Also there’s I think micro transactions but I don’t do those since they’re at times a cheap way to level up.

There’s also this zombie story where you play multiplayer but I haven’t played that yet but might soon. Also got the Xbox One version and PC download just as a way to compare and contrast. Seems like the PS4 version is the best one out of them all so far. Anyway if you want to play the campaign story go ahead but careful of the multiplayer. A lot of high leveled players there can be frustrating at times if your just starting out.

Book, book club, books, High School, Indian, Indian Reservation, library, native american, Sherman Alexie, Smoke Siginals

Read this as a part of a book club for the library. I remember reading some stuff about Sherman Alexie in high school and even saw the movie he made, Smoke Signals too. So I get the just of the book and about the Native Americans problems and the Indian Reservations as well. Some of this stuff he went though I kinda knew from high school. I even saw him in an interview on the Colbert Report a long time ago.

What kind of turned me off was that it was a young adult book. Even though some good books ARE in the young adult category sometimes they’re too easy to read or they’re kinda boring or long. Anyway this seems like a good book and I hope to read more of Sherman Alexie’s work when I can. Maybe even review Smoke Signals if it’s ever on Netflix again.
